espinita
Espinita started around 1986, with very crude drawings of three characters: Espin Siete and Caballito Frenado. though then they had no names. Through the years, drawings have defined, the same as names of places and characters, and I have seen the arrival of new ones: X, Teremin, Diana and Amalia.
(I prefer don't translate characters names but you can name them: Spin, Seven, Little Braking Horse, X, Theremin, Diana and Amalia).
With Espinita I (Mataparda) go on believing in comics, graphic storytelling, as a valuable and powerful means to communicate ideas.
I hace to play tribute to Herriman and Krazy kat above all. Besides Feininger's Kin-der-Kids, Calvin and Hobbes, Mutts... only to mention a few milestones of a vast field.
